Phoenix Trinity’s Honcho Aims to Change the Game
If you shoot USPSA, chances are you’ve probably heard of Phoenix Trinity. They’re known for manufacturing some of the best double stack 1911 parts available, inlcuding their renowned steel grip, the EVO. What you may not have heard about is their new complete race gun – The Honcho. That’s right, a complete handgun built using almost exclusively PT parts, which is exciting news for those of us who already use some of their parts in our current build. You mean I can have the same quality and reliability in every part of my pistol, rather than just a few? Sign me up!
The Honcho Race Ready model (basically the USPSA version of the pistol) has some ground breaking patent-pending technology and we’ll get to that (we promise). Shooting The Honcho
The Honcho might feel a little heavy to those who are used to shooting a plastic gun. After all, it’s comprised mostly of steel. But you get used to the weight pretty quickly and, once you do, you’ll be pleased with the reduced recoil the weight offers. Aside from the extra weight, recoil is also reduced through the use of a linkless barrel. The Honcho was designed to shoot major power factor with ease. The EVO Grip really comes in handy, keeping the gun firmly in your hand with no fear of it ever leaving. Overall, The Honcho is an absolute pleasure to shoot. When you shoot one, you’re likely to smile.
What Really Sets The Honcho Apart
So yeah, it’s a great race gun. It’s made with quality parts, shoots nice and flat and has proven to be reliable. That’s cool, but what really sets The Honcho apart from any other race gun you’ve seen? It’s pretty simple really:
The Honcho can shoot multiple divisions and multiple calibers, all with one gun.
It’s all in the patent-pending Honcho Technology, which utilizes a linkless barrel and the elimination of the need for Loctite. In less than 5 minutes, you can easily change from Limited to Open or 9mm to 38sc. Imagine shooting a match in Open and then shooting the same match in Limited with the SAME GUN! No more having to get comfortable using 2 different guns. No more sending your gun off to be fitted with another top end. All you need is a few minutes and you’re off to the races with the same pistol you’ve spent time becoming comfortable with.
Even if you only plan on shooting one division (you should try something new sometime) you can still benefit greatly from the multiple calibers. Going to a local match or practice at the range and don’t feel like picking up brass? Cool, shoot some cheap 9mm ammo and leave it. Then go shoot a major match with 38sc. Saving time, money and energy is never a bad thing.
Whether you’ve heard of Phoenix Trinity or not, this new patent-pending Honcho Tech is definitely worth looking into. Phoenix Trinity has videos up on their Youtube channel that go more in-depth and you can check out The Honcho on their website HERE.
They offer a 3-Gun model as well that offers the same technology, only slightly different features that make it better tailored for the 3-Gun world. You can check that one out HERE.
The Honcho enables you to shoot multiple calibers and divisions while providing you with a top quality race gun that shoots incredibly well. If you haven’t already, it’s time to give it your consideration.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
