Chris Keen
7 Years
Chris has been a been a member of Phoenix Trinity for a little over 5 years now and has been shooting professionally for about 15 years. He started in 2002 but didn’t get real serious until about 2006. He started out in Open division, then strictly shot Limited for 3.5 years, then went back to Open around 2011.
Chris likes shooting anything with a red dot, dabbling in Carry-Optics or PCC every now & then just for fun! He has officially competed in over 200 major tournaments in that time, with numerous State/sectional HOA wins & three Area 5 Champion titles (twice in Open division, once in PCC Div.) After being introduced to USPSA, he wanted to try and experience all the other different types of competitive shooting sports, including IPSC, Steel Challenge, Bianchi, GSSF, IDPA, 3-gun, trap, & skeet, but nothing really compares to the fast-paced, adrenaline-fueled style of USPSA shooting to him.
The best piece of advice Chris could give new shooters would be to..”be open to new ideas & training opportunities from those shooters more advanced than they are. Don’t be afraid to pay good money for classes from the top shooters in the country. I’ve taken 3 classes from other GM’s, twice being while I was a GM myself. Don’t let your ego hold you back from learning new tricks. Everyone can learn something new on any given day.”
Chris’ favorite gun setup is a Honcho Race Ready.
In his free time Chris likes to paddleboard, kayak, cycle, and work out.
